Getting Started

Sometimes the best way to start something is to just start it.  That is function of this post.  I have long thought about starting a personal website and blog to write at some length about the things that inspire me in my work, family, or personal life.  With regards to work, I am a pastor who works at a dynamic and interesting large church and my profession requires me to be reflective and thoughtful.  Some of those thoughts and reflections are best expressed outside the official communication channels of the church.  With regards to family, I have been married for 16 years and my wife and I have three wonderful boys who are all under the age of 12.  Needless to say that makes life very interesting and I am constantly learning how to be a better husband and father.  With regards to my personal life, I have many diverse interests that occupy my free time.  I have a deep and abiding fascination for and appreciation of technology in general and Apple products in particular.  I enjoy photography, cooking, reading, and science fiction.  I actively follow current events and politics.  My plan is to use this website and blog to share my thoughts and reflections about these aspects of my life.  My hope is that others will find what I write useful and interesting.

So here we go.
